Synonym:Reoment 38; T551;Metal Deactivator
Properties:
1) Red brown transparent liquid with low volatility. Good oil solubility in mineral oils. Thermal decomposition temperature:180°C or so.
2) T551 can compete with Reoment-38 produced by Cibageigy company in Swiss. It can form the inert protective foil on the metal surface or generate chelate complex to reject catalysis, especially combined with anti-oxygen additives.
Usage:
1) Combined used with T501 anti-oxidants and it can not be used together with ZDDP or carbamate additives to avoid sludge.
2) This product is generally used in machine oil, shaft-bearing oil, industrial gear oil, transformer oil and recycling oil, etc. With good thermal stability, T551 is a higher performance multi-effective additive, with common dosage as 0.01-0.05%
